Revolutionary letters

Lettres révolutionnaires is an invitation to reinvent ourselves in the present, and to allow ourselves to be multiple and porous by sharpening our awareness and our poetry.
Performed by Viviane Gay (concept, direction, singing and acting), Laurence Crevoisier (co-creation of original music, viola and acting), Linda Olah (co-creation of original music, singing and acting) and Julie Burnier (artistic collaboration and outside view), Diane Di Prima's poetry is profoundly libertarian. Like many others, she denounces the massive destruction of the planet, the barriers of class, race and identity, but she goes far beyond this, urging us to free ourselves from the very essence of what imprisons us. It confronts us with our own contradictions, our own non-actions. It reminds us that each and every one of us has a choice at any given moment. This choice is to stand up, to think, to vibrate, to live, to fight for every living being and to let go of what must die.
These poems are deeply disturbing, yet they revitalize us, because nothing is predefined. We are part of history, but not prisoners of it. We decide the world of today and tomorrow, every time we breathe in and every time we breathe out.
The event takes place at the espace parallèle on Sunday, May 18, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
