Visit salt mine to discover the origin of the Sel des Alpes, as a family day out, on a school trip, on a corporate outing or with friends.

The Bex Salt Mines are now a vast underground labyrinth, several kilometres of which are open to visitors. On this journey of discovery you will see the most spectacular and the most characteristic elements of the various excavation techniques used from when the first gallery was dug out in 1684, right up to modern times.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to train maintenance and interior refurbishment work, the Salt Mines will be closed to visitors from 27 October to 5 November 2025.

From 6 November 2025 until spring 2026, visitors will be able to enjoy a new immersive experience: the explosive tour, a temporary gourmet tour for explorers of all ages. Immerse yourself interactively in the world of the salt mountain, with tastings and unexpected surprises!
