Exposition de Cédric Raccio

During the winter break, works are displayed in the OBLIQUE gallery window. This keeps the gallery lively at the start of the year, brightening up the Grand-Rue, from which visitors to Saint-Maurice can admire the artistic output of the region's leading artists.

This year, it's photographer Cédric Raccio's turn. From January 19 to February 15, his saturated, experimental images can be viewed free of charge from the street. A free and intuitive approach, which sometimes betrays influences from graphic design, electronic music or sculpture, and where pop aesthetics, crossed by a hint of critical resonance, becomes a leitmotiv.

Cédric Raccio's series, published in contemporary art magazines and books, are regularly shown at festivals and exhibition spaces in Switzerland and Europe (Vevey Images, Gibellina in Sicily, Kühlhaus in Berlin, Triennal d'Art du Valais, etc.). He was awarded the Prix du Jury "Lumières" at the Vevey Images festival in 2014, the Prix Artpro Emerging Artist by the State of Valais in 2017 and was a finalist in the BBA Photo Prize in Berlin in 2025.
