Café littéraire avec Nicolas Verdan

On May 5, the mediatheque's café littéraire will be devoted to Nicolas Verdan.
Born in Vevey in 1971, this writer and journalist of Greek-Swiss origin has covered international news while developing a literary career.

His stories often combine police investigations and social criticism. His first novel, "Le Rendez-vous de Thessalonique" (2005), won him the Bibliomedia prize in 2006. He turned a corner in 2012 with "Le Patient du Docteur Hirschfeld" (Doctor Hirschfeld's Patient), which won the Schiller Prize, before winning the Prix du polar romand in 2018 with "La Coach" (The Coach).
In 2023, he published "La récolte des enfants", a chilling noir novel that explores the forms of violence threatening our children in today's world, connected as much as helpless in the face of this phenomenon.

The meeting will be moderated by Geneviève Erard, teacher at the Lycée-Collège de Saint-Maurice.
