Light up!

New York, 1878. Thirsty for progress, the Edison couple multiplied their revolutionary inventions. But the insatiable Thomas Edison was now pursuing a dream: to light up the world by becoming the master of electricity...

To his great surprise, the brilliant inventor is not alone in the race. The eccentric Nikola Tesla and, above all, the ambitious Westinghouse couple are also determined to light up the future. Terrorized by the idea of no longer living up to his legend, Edison will do everything in his power to win the battle. Even if it means making a pact with the night, inventing the unimaginable in the name of progress...

In an enchanting scenography and with period costumes, this story will be presented to the public at Le Martolet on Thursday, October 9 at 8:30pm, to launch the theater's 2025-2026 season. The story of a handful of men and women who dreamed so hard of the future that they ended up inventing it.
