During the summer, Saint-Maurice hosts an event that, for its first time in 2016, roused the heart of the city for four Friday evenings.  In cooperation with restaurants, shopkeepers and street craftsmen, bars and food stands are set up at 6pm in the Grand-Rue.  Outdoor concerts, DJ's and children's entertainment are also on the agenda for each evening.

This first colourful event allowed the visitors and regulars of the Grand-Rue of Saint-Maurice to discover the main thoroughfare in a surprising way.  Indeed, some 480 multi-coloured umbrellas, suspended 6 meters from the ground along the pedestrian section of the street, gave it a magical atmosphere both during the sunny hours of the day and into the evening.
